Job Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Acts as a leader of the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability.
- Collaborates with team members and escalates issues as appropriate.
- Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit-specific operations and patient care activities.
- Develops and contributes to individualized plans of care based on assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Monitors patient progress and revises care plans as necessary.
- Ensures patients understand discharge instructions clearly.
- Provides optimal pain control and comfort for patients.
- Practices customer service standards and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Ensures a clean, orderly, and functional work environment.
- Acts as a resource and mentor to new employees and students.
- Participates in departmental professional development and staff meetings.
- Organizes work to minimize overtime and improve systems.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum one (1) year recent full-time equivalent experience in Emergency Department within the last 3 years.
Education:
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Schedule:
- Full-time or part-time
- Required weekend and holiday shifts
