Job Responsibilities
- Assesses and identifies educational needs and performance gaps in collaboration with leadership and Human Resources
- Prioritizes initiatives according to organization strategic goals and regulatory requirements and compliance
- Designs education to address needs and gaps identified consistent with adult learning theories and instructional design principles
- Creates learning resources such as participant guides, training manuals, course materials, leader guides, learning activities, and job aides
- Establishes budget and resource needs related to education requests
- Develops learning programs to support change in process, policy, or practice with the goal of improving care for communities and team members
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure learning activities are inclusive of all disciplines
- Creates blended learning solutions including virtual training, online learning, and classroom training
- Participates in the change management process through implementation of educational initiatives focused on sustainability
- Monitors and evaluates learning activities and effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model
- Reports evaluation findings and impact on key performance indicators to leadership
- Maintains an accurate annual learning calendar and master course catalog
- Serves as a consultant to leadership, Human Resources, and internal clients for education plans and behavior change
- Fosters a culture of lifelong learning and personal development within team members
- Utilizes evidence to guide the development of learning programs
- Supports the implementation of Lean methodologies to improve practice
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to evaluate training results against key performance indicators
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Learning Management System and design software
- Experience in education, project management, and training
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in related field
Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved program; Bachelor's Degree in nursing required, Master's Degree preferred
License & Certification:
- Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact
