Job Responsibilities
- Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status.
- Formulates a goal-directed plan of care when and where appropriate.
- Implements care thoroughly, skillfully, consistently, and continuously.
- Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources.
- Identifies patient/family learning needs and acts to meet them.
- Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity to patient/family rights, age-specific needs, and cultural and ethical beliefs.
- Provides/coordinates care for patients/patient populations.
- Establishes effective working relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Acknowledges staff rights and cultural and ethical beliefs.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Evaluates effectiveness of care given by healthcare team members.
- Utilizes effective communication methods and skills.

Required Skills
Core Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the RN scope of practice
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms in English
- Good interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Certification in specialty preferred.
Requirements
Experience: 1 year recent experience in oncology practice, including ability to work with chemotherapeutic agents.
Education: High School Diploma/GED; Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program or licensed vocational nursing program with required clinical experience.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support
