Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine assignments and develop competence by performing structured work assignments.
- Accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care.
- Provide patient/family education and manage transitions of care.
- Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area.
- Develop, implement, manage, and coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors into care.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with patients, family/support groups, physicians, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations.
- Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Demonstrated general knowledge of nursing theories, concepts and practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Working knowledge of healthcare industry and safety precautions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer applications skills (e.g., Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record.
Requirements
Experience:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing prior to start date.
License & Certification:
- RN-Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided prior to start date.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Schedule:
- As needed for weekends.
