Job Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care by managing, directing, and monitoring the nursing team as per State/Province law.
  • Conduct clinical care through the application of the nursing process, including resident assessments and creating Individualized Service Plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and clinical providers for resident care coordination.
  • Complete all required training on time as per Sunrise University training and regulations.
  • Oversee the community medication management program for resident safety in medication usage.
  • Track and report clinical quality data to identify risks and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, handling performance management and scheduling.
  • Manage the department budget, processing expenses in a timely manner per Sunrise policies.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintain compliance with required training and perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current state license
  • Minimum two years RN experience with home health, assisted living, or long-term care
  • Minimum one year nursing management experience
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in tracking and analysis of clinical performance data
  • Experience in quality improvement and risk assessment
  • Experience in staff development and clinical education
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Good critical thinking and decision-making abilities

Requirements

Experience: Minimum two years RN experience and one year nursing management experience

Education: Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing

License & Certification:

  • Current state license as a professional Registered Nurse
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid

Schedule:

  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed for resident care/services
  • 24/7 on call responsibility

COVID-19 Requirements: Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination required to the extent mandated by applicable federal, state, and local laws and authorities
