Job Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Passion for Critical Care/Intensive Care & Surgical Intensive Care (SICU)
- Computer literacy
- Ability to read and write basic English
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) working experience in a Step Down Unit at an acute care facility
- Strong Telemetry RN experience
- 1+ years of RN experience working in Critical Care (ICU, SICU, MICU, CCU)
Requirements
Experience: 2+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) working experience in a Step Down Unit; 1+ years of RN experience in Critical Care preferred.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
License & Certification:
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
