Coordinate and provide instruction to new and tenured clinical/non-clinical staff related to orientation and ongoing competency assessments.
Utilize a variety of settings and methodologies, including classroom and off-site education.
Partner with Director of Nursing, administrators, and other clinical staff in determining skills assessed for competency.
Determine appropriate evaluation methods for each competency assessment.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate ongoing education to meet organizational needs.
Serve as a professional resource for internal and external customers.
Incorporate critical thinking skills, evidence-based practice, and quality into all educational activities.
Implement and monitor the orientation program for all new employees according to policies, procedures, and Federal/State requirements.
Review Nursing Exception Report and compare it to the schedule and hall assignment.
Post Daily Staffing Requirement per Federal and State Regulations.
Complete and maintain accurate working schedules compliant with State Staffing Regulations and facility budget.
Participate and attend monthly QA meetings.
Attend and participate in daily morning meetings.

Experience: At least three years of nursing experience
