Job Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and the medical plan of care.
Ensure safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in perioperative services.
Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Report to the PACU Manager.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current Texas Nursing License
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum of 2 years PACU or acute experience
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients
Understanding of aseptic technique and its implementation
Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
Knowledge to recognize, evaluate, and solve problems
Excellent teaching skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrate accountability, creativity, and innovation
Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Preferred Skills

Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years PACU or acute experience

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License & Certification:

Current Texas Nursing License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Current PALS Certification
