Job Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of professional nursing care activities.
- Multitask and accommodate services for the physicians and the practice.
- Follow established standards, practices, policies and procedures.
- Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care to age specific groups.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) in achieving departmental goals.
- Triage and treat cancer-related issues.
- Input chemotherapy treatment orders per the ordering physician.
- Coordinate chemotherapy treatment start and stop appointments with the infusion center.
- Provide supportive resources and education to patients and family members on treatment and side effects.
- Access ports (port flush and blood draw).
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice
- Nursing process skills (assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating)
- Port flush experience
- BLS Certification

Requirements
Experience: 1 year of professional nursing experience
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
License & Certification:
- Current, valid Florida State of Board Nursing Registered Nursing License
- BLS Certified
