Job Responsibilities
- Assist the DON/CNO with directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and supervising the operations of nursing for assigned units.
- Oversee the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments, and administration to meet the residents’ diverse needs.
- Acknowledge and work to resolve customer complaints when residents’ needs are not met.
- Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as nursing practice standards.
- Manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources based on patient care needs.
- Model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
- Accountable for the standard of care at the facility, providing consultations and expertise in care delivery.
- Manage staff activities, coordinating safe and appropriate care between departments.
- Evaluate work activities of nursing and other staff for the unit.
- Analyze information/situations to choose the best solutions to problems.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Identify educational needs and develop training programs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports to inform management on program status and quality initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks such as planning budgets and authorizing expenditures.
- Provide direct care as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Two years of registered nursing experience required; Three years as a registered nurse strongly preferred; One year of prior experience with the patient population required.
Education: BSN or higher strongly preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in State of facility
- CPR certification
- De-escalation/restraint certification
- First aid may be required based on state or facility
Schedule:
- Full-time schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30am-8:00pm
