Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Medical – Surgical Unit.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans through patient assessment and planning.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment responses.
- Collaborate with patients and families, considering developmental, cultural, and age-specific differences.
- Communicate effectively with physicians about patient clinical conditions and diagnostic study results.
- Perform nursing duties necessary for the continuum of care for all patients.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and departmental activities.
- Maintain composure and professionalism, especially under pressure.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Life Support Certification
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate nursing theory and practice
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Requirements
Experience:
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current State of Utah Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support Certification (ALS)
