Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for assessment, planning, coordinating, implementation, and evaluation of orientation, new graduate residency, in-services, and educational training.
- Function as a teacher, facilitator, and internal consultant to departments within the organization.
- Oversee operations and supervision of the simulation laboratory.
- Plan operations of the simulation laboratory and work collaboratively with the education team and external stakeholders.
- Advise students and serve on committees participating in educational activities.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Manage orientation, training, and instruction of new employees and continuing education for existing employees and contract staff.
- Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate organization-wide staff development programs, seminars, conferences, etc.
- Coordinate ACLS, BLS, and PALS classes for staff.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Develop and direct in-services and continuing education for organization personnel.
- Interact with staff, nursing and department managers to determine and coordinate educational needs and programs.
- Collaborate with external partners to establish and grow relationships to enhance the program.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in professional nursing with leadership ability; two years of management or leadership experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
