Position: Registered Nurse supervising LPNs and nursing assistants

Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of the LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit.
Assure a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks.
Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
Explain nursing procedures and assist staff to ensure ongoing understanding and training.
Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, and suggestions of problem areas.
Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions.
Notify the physician and family members of significant changes according to prescribed procedures.

Experience: One year nursing experience necessary

Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing
