Job Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health screenings for new and current employees.
- Participate in wellness and immunization programs.
- Track, manage, and report occupational exposures.
- Provide education on maintaining a safe work environment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Employee Health policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient/employee care.
- Participate and support performance improvement activities.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other nurses and staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
- Proactively plan for the care of patients/employees across the care continuum.
- Participate in the development of protocols, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nurse license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Computer/data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with various members of the healthcare team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an occupational health environment
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN)
- Ability to optimize technology to support clinical care
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to state and federal regulations
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in nursing field, previous experience in an occupational health environment desired.
Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
- Basic Life Support certification
