Ensure and deliver high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
Serve as a resource person for staff and model commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values.
Coordinate patient placement within the unit according to acuity, skill mix and staff availability.
Assist in identifying and addressing educational needs of the unit.
Participate and direct patient care conferences, addressing issues such as patient discharge needs.
Make rounds with physicians.
Stay informed of patient condition changes and make appropriate clinical decisions.
Accountable for orders, assuring that they are appropriate and carried out in a timely manner.

Experience: 2 Years acute care RN experience preferred

Education: Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree

License & Certification:

Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license
BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
