Job Responsibilities

Accountable for all Registered Nurse duties and responsibilities.
Demonstrates knowledge of unit standards of care, staff competencies, and individual patient care needs.
Facilitates proper patient placement and patient care assignments.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including care coordination, physicians, and management.
Uses and promotes effective communication strategies to meet inter- and intra-departmental needs.
Actively role models and coaches leadership behaviors.
Assists others in developing their skills and knowledge.
Successfully completes defined job-specific competencies.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Ability to organize personnel assignments and activities.
Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care.
Proficiency in unit and ability to function efficiently during crisis.

Preferred Skills

Basic Life Support Certification within the orientation period.

Requirements

Experience: At least two (2) years clinical experience within specialty area preferred.

Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.

License & Certification:

Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.

Schedule:

Weekend/Holiday Frequency: Every 3rd Weekend/2 per year with the exception of Easter.
