Position: Clinical Research Nurse in Hematology/Oncology Research Program

Conduct clinical research studies and implement research protocols.
Coordinate, evaluate and follow patient participation in clinical research.
Identify, enroll, and consent patients for studies.
Organize study visits and follow-ups.
Respond to patient telephone calls.
Serve as a clinical resource to staff and patients participating in complex multidisciplinary trials.
Perform protocol-specific clinical tasks including patient assessment, screening, ordering tests and procedures, collecting specimens, and monitoring responses under physician direction.
Administer medication or other protocol-specific interventions.
Provide patient and family education.
Complete all forms required for proper protocol documentation and maintain patient records.
Enter patient data into Clinical Trial Management System database (OnCore) and other sponsor-specific programs.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient-related records.
Utilize CTO tools for compliance and suggest implementation of quality improvements.
Facilitate collaboration of multi-disciplinary research with team members.
Identify and communicate problems or obstacles in implementation of research protocols.
Assist the CTO regulatory team with submission of IRB protocols, grant applications, and consent forms.
Assist in the training of early phase disease team staff.

Experience: 2 years of nursing experience.

Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing.
