Job Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat children, adolescents and adults experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder
Complete all applicable screening tools with interpretation
Prescribe, recommend or discontinue medications and treatments to treat mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
Educate patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders
Offer individual and group therapy for patients across the age spectrum
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication and behavioral interventions
Diagnose mental illnesses based on assessment

Required Skills

Core Skills

New York State licenses as both a registered nurse and a Nurse Practitioner
Certification by a national certifying agency in the appropriate field
Ability to read, write and speak English
