Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care including the collection and analysis of assessment data.
- Determine nursing diagnosis and identify expected outcomes.
- Develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
- Identify interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care.
- Evaluate the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes.
- Document the nursing process considering age-specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures
- Management of the surgical patient
Preferred Skills
- 1-3 years of previous experience in Preop/PACU
- Experience in an ambulatory surgical center
- Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications
Requirements
Experience: 1-3 years in Preop/PACU preferred
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
License & Certification:
- BLS
- ALS
- PALS
