Job Responsibilities

Assume twenty-four hour responsibility for management, delivery and coordination of care for the assigned unit(s).
Assess, plan, provide, and evaluate patient care and nursing services for assigned nursing units.
Consult with the Director of Nursing, staff, physicians, and other members of clinical administration on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies.
Maintain performance improvement activities within the department(s) and participate in hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives.
Mentor RNs, LPNs, BHTs, and other clinical staff as needed.
Provide coverage as a nursing supervisor or staff nurse as assigned.
Complete 90 day reviews and annual evaluations for each member of the assigned department.
Complete time card reviews and staff education related to time management.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
One year experience in a supervisory nursing position.
Current CPR or BLS certification.

Preferred Skills

One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 12-65yrs+.
One year of med/surge experience for the geriatric unit.

Requirements

Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
Current CPR or BLS certification.
Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Schedule:
