Job Title: Nurse Coordinator (Shift Supervisor)

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: Competitive salary, potential for performance awards

Shift: Flexible to work all tours: Sunday - Saturday; Monday - Friday, required shifts from 3:30 PM to 4 AM

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as nursing supervisor during non-administrative tours.
  • Manage and direct employees, independently allocate human and material resources.
  • Make necessary staffing changes due to unplanned leave and/or changes in patient acuity.
  • Deliver position responsibilities demonstrating leadership and experience in complex patient care.
  • Direct and organize the delivery of care to assure continuity and peer accountability.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to promote staff involvement in planning and decision-making.
  • Function proficiently in clinical practice related to assigned roles and responsibilities.
  • Apply evidence-based practice and formulate outcomes for patient groups.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff using standards of care and scientific evidence.
  • Round regularly and act as a consultant to providers.
  • Assist with decisions related to ongoing patient care and emergency actions.

Requirements

Experience:

Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency.

License & Certification:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a nurse in a US State or Territory

Schedule:

  • Must be flexible to work all tours including weekends and holidays

COVID-19 Requirements: Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required.
