Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with the medical director, registered nurse, and/or respiratory therapist.
Provide direct and indirect patient care.
Coordinate inter-facility critical care transports of neonatal/pediatric patients.
Apply clinical standards and guidelines for transport via ambulance, helicopter, or fixed wing.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Intravenous and intraosseous insertion skills for pediatric populations
Ability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather)
Cricothyrotomy skills for pediatric population

Preferred Skills

Experience in level II or III NICU and Pediatric care

Requirements

Experience: 3,000 hours working as a paramedic; 2,000 hours level II or III NICU and Pediatric experience (preferred)

Education: High School Diploma or GED

License & Certification:

Paramedic License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Cardiovascular)
PALS (Pediatric)
NRP (Neonatal)
EVOC (Emergency Vehicle)

Schedule:

Every other weekend
