Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource person to physicians, nurses, patients, and family members.
- Plan and conduct educational sessions to promote staff development, student competence, and positive patient/family outcomes using principles of adult learning.
- Model expert communication skills to colleagues through example.
- Demonstrate foresight regarding the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes based on intuition and experience.
- Act as an expert clinician and leader within their area of specialty.
- Complete employee conference, risk management, and unit management reports within specified time frames.
- Identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms.
- Provide and coordinate the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Model time management skills through example.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nursing License in Georgia
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- MSN or DNP
- Nursing certification
Requirements
Experience: 2 years of recent nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in the area of concentration
Education: Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
License & Certification:
- Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
