Job Responsibilities
- Oversee a department of caregivers, ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
- Engage with the unit and communicate with nurses, patients, and families.
- Attend meetings with leadership to learn about new initiatives, budgetary status, areas for improvement, and relay this information back to the team.
- Monitor attendance among nursing staff and address any patterns of missed shifts.
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of the department, including budgets to achieve the best throughput without compromising care.
- Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others to build them into potential nurse managers.

Requirements
Experience: At least 5 years of nursing experience in an acute, surgical setting.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.

- Registered Nurse License in good standing (State of Arkansas, or compact state)
