Job Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
- Leads the health care team and delegates tasks appropriately.
- Demonstrates accountability and professional behavior.
- Participates in problem identification and resolution.
- Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit specific operations.
- Develops and contributes to the individualized plan of care.
- Monitors patient progress and revises plans based on evaluations.
- Ensures effective development and completion of discharge plans.
- Ensures patient safety, optimal pain control, and understanding of medications.
- Documents accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
- Discusses patient findings with physicians and the health care team.
- Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Adheres to workplace safety principles and maintains a safe environment.
- Practices customer service standards and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Acts as an effective team member and takes accountability for actions.
- Organizes work to minimize the use of overtime and assists in systems improvement.

Requirements

- Registered Nurse License (California)
