Job Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day clinical services to ensure residents’ healthcare needs are met
- Supervises and provides leadership to direct care staff within the community
- Leads clinical leadership team, including Resident Care and Staffing Coordinators
- Empowers clinical leaders to supervise, direct, and motivate staff within their oversight
- Assigns and directs work of clinical leaders and subordinates; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems
- Provides training and education to caregivers upon orientation and ongoing basis
- Provides appropriate guidance for employees by planning work schedules, assigning work duties while on shift
- Monitors and reviews documentation performed by caregiving staff
- Participates in pre-admission screening of prospective new tenants
- Performs on-site evaluations of residents admitted to alternate care environments for treatment and maintains contact with resident families
- Assures that required documentation is completed prior to or upon resident admission
- Evaluates resident documents, changes in condition, and notifies the Executive Director, resident's physician, and resident's legally responsible party/family
- Facilitates continuity of care for residents receiving home health care and hospice services
- Participates in or leads meetings relevant to resident care issues
- Ensures that any incident reports are completed promptly and adequately
- Participates in campus Quality Improvement activities
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
- One year experience in nursing position, preferably in Long-Term Care or Assisted Living
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and human relations skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge in geriatric nursing or willingness to learn
- Caring and compassionate disposition
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Memory Care community
- Strong customer service orientation
Requirements
Experience: One year experience in a nursing position

- CPR Certified
