Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care.
- Collaborates with medical providers and other members of the care team.
- Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates patient needs.
- Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects.
- Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- 1+ year of recent ER RN experience
Preferred Skills
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Requirements
