Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators, and proactively monitor and implement systems to achieve or surpass company thresholds.
- Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
- Promote customer service and hospitality and respond to and adequately resolve complaints or concerns from residents or families about nursing services.
- Coordinate and/or develop ongoing QAPI activities for nursing services to monitor nursing compliance with standards and regulatory requirements through rounds, interviews, and record reviews.
- Compile summary of findings for the Quality Assurance committee.
- Help the Administrator prepare staff for inspection surveys.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the State Board of Nursing in Massachusetts
- Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
- Leadership with strong clinical skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- At least five years of experience in a long-term care setting
- 3-5 years as a Director of Nursing
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the State Board of Nursing in Massachusetts
