Integrate, facilitate, and coordinate administrative and clinical practice for the assigned nursing unit(s).
Provide management and clinical support to other nursing units and house-wide as required.
Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource/educator for nurses and other members of the health care team.
Develop unit goals and objectives with staff based on analysis of clinical and managerial processes to improve patient outcomes.
Create a culture of excellence within the team.
Represent the unit and act as a liaison to internal and external customers.
Participate in unit budget development, monitoring, and variance analysis/reporting.
Participate in product line development in partnership with clinical value analysis team (CVAT) and materials management team.
Engage in professional development activities and hospital-wide committees.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a professional nurse with progressively increasing responsibility.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree in Nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

License & Certification:

Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Nursing or awaiting reciprocity.
Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
