Job Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
- Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
- Initiate treatment and monitor patients during treatment.
- Terminate treatment and collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
- Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments.
- Clean and disinfect machines after treatment.
- Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
- Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Preferred Skills
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA.
Requirements
Experience: Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
License & Certification:
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire date.
