Job Responsibilities

Coordinates, supervises and implements patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice.
Practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
Input, extract, and evaluate data for meaningful use and patient centered medical home.
Responsible for direct patient care, to include rooming, obtaining vitals, patient assessment & education, and discharge planning.
Acts as a resource and a role model.
Complies with HIPAA standards.
Seeks opportunities to increase skills and/or knowledge.
Participates in department's productivity measures.
Able to effectively coordinate physician time, patient schedule, and clinical duties of care team.
Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with day to day activities.
Demonstrates behavior consistent in promoting excellent patient satisfaction.
Able to effectively address and resolve patient/customer service concerns; adept at service recovery.
Identify yourself and your role to the patient and describe pending interaction with patient.
Provide status updates to patients/providers/team/management as needed.
Responsive to patient/provider/team/management requests within the department/SJMG/SJHMC guidelines.

Requirements

Experience: Greater than two years of RN experience.

Education: Completion of RN program.

License & Certification:

AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State required
American Heart Association CPR BLS
