Job Responsibilities
- Address basic human needs in a respectful and caring manner.
- Document interventions in EMR.
- Adhere to infection prevention policies.
- Communicate effectively with the patient, family, and medical staff.
- Establish priorities to carry out an established care plan according to patient needs.
- Identify common variables affecting patient care and follow the reporting process.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with members of the hospital team.
- Participate in activities in alignment with the Magnet Model and organizational activities.
- Re-enforce patient and family education under the direction of the RN.
- Support patient care within scope of practice as directed by other members of the healthcare team.
- Utilize resources in an economical manner.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following safety guidelines.
- Provide direct patient care including giving baths, oral hygiene, and skin care.
- Assist patients with toilet activities and maintain a clear living area.
- Orient/instruct patient/family regarding the physical environment and routines.
- Notify RN or LVN of any change or abnormal findings.
